Amy, our founder, has been a Key West local for over 30 years. She’s definitely a salt-water conch. On the other hand, Blaise, her business partner, has had a long but intermittent connection to Key West having always resided on the mainland. Although he has spent a lot of time in Key West, his conch credentials are questionable. Nevertheless, their connection is built on a strong bond from years of friendship on the island and supplemented from their time at sea. Now, they’ve launched Burgeez which derives much of its energy from their Key West connections.
